Half Moon Blue Offers Far More than the Traditional Diving Trip to Trinidad And Tobago

For far too long, a holiday in one of the many Trinidad and Tobago resorts has meant the trip is little more than a diving vacation. All that has changed with the coming of the elegant Half Moon Blue Hotel which offers a luxury resort experience far removed from those offered by other resort hotels on the islands. There is a lot for the holiday maker to do here and the best part of it is that while helpful advice and suggestions on holiday activities are always available, there is no pressure on the guests to do anything except what they really want to. If the guest wants to put his or her feet up and relax in the tropical atmosphere from morning to night, he is free to do so. But if the guest wants to get moving and experience all that the islands have to offer, this too is available to him.

There are activities to please everyone.

The hotel’s swimming pool makes a great way to relax and soak up the sun. Or have a quick dip in after a hectic day at the beach. For those looking for more than just casual swimming in the pool or ocean, a phone call or trip down to the adjacent shore will provide access to a full range of water sports from diving lessons to rented diving gear to more advance diving options, including diving fishing, for the more experienced diver.

Golfers can enjoy themselves at one of the islands many golf courses. The beautiful Mt. Irvine Golf Course is one of the two courses located just a few miles from Half Moon Blue and is a par 72 course.

Those who want to know more about Half Moon Blue and the unique resort experience it offers need only to visit the website at http://www.halfmoonblue.com/ to get all the information they need. Reservation phone and fax numbers and the email address are all available on the site.

A complete boutique hotel

Half Moon Blue is small, compact and is a complete boutique hotel. It would not be correct to call this beautiful little hotel one of Trinidad’s great secrets, but the fact is that it is still relatively less known than many others on the island. And that is a very good thing. This may not be one of the best known hotels in Trinidad and Tobago, but it is one of the best. Located at the intriguingly named Donkey Cart House just below Fort George, this small hotel offers the kind of holiday experience unique to these islands. The Donkey Cart House is a French colonial style mansion that is over 120 years old and lies next beautiful Bacolet Bay which has for many years been a setting for movies.

Between two extremes

Some hotels feel they have to offer non stop recreation and excitement for their guests. Other set themselves up as a laid back option for people who want to do nothing but relax on their vacation. Half Moon Blue finds its position between these two extremes and offers holiday makers both enough activities to keep them occupied all day as well as a quiet restful atmosphere where one does not feel guilty about lying back and re-charging one’s batteries. It is up to the guest to choose how he would like to spend his time. The visitor can find many Trinidad and Tobago resorts to choose from. The Half Moon Blue is just a little different from all the rest.

If you would like to know more about this charming yet sophisticated Trinidad inn with all the comforts you could ask for, please check out the hotel’s website at http://www.halfmoonblue.com/. To make reservations your options are:

Passport to Trinidad and Tobago

When its summer time, all of us head for the beach to enjoy a good swim, build sand castles, eat from a picnic basket, play beach volleyball and just lie around soaking up the warm rays of the sun. This is the usual activity many of us experience on a trip to the beach. But why not do something different this summer for a change? If you have plans of visiting any place lavished by nature’s wonders, you have to visit the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Here you can engage in activities which you have never tried before like shark and scuba diving. Scuba diving is a new experience for most of us as we prefer swimming and fishing to this kind of sport. Trinidad and Tobago is home to some of the most exotic marine and mammal life apart from its rich vegetation of flora and fauna. You can enjoy the best diving holiday by touching and seeing some of the rare and endangered species found in this beautiful island.

Stay in luxury and comfort

To make your stay more relaxing and luxurious, you can reserve place for you and family at Half Moon Blue Resorts. This beautiful beach resort is nestled among tropical vegetation like palm trees, bamboo and bougainvillea which takes your mind away from the city and lets you relax and rejuvenate in your own space. Half Moon Blue Resorts have spacious suites with excellent interiors and décor that sets your mood for a romantic holiday experience. With verandahs opening out to panoramic views of the sea, midnight swims might seem tempting. This summer visit the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago for a diving holiday experience you can never forget.

Arima Borough Day in Trinidad and Tobago

Even though every day is Trinidad and Tobago carnival day, it is more so on Arima Borough Day in Trinidad and Tobago. This colorful festival is celebrated in honor of the district being given the status of Royal Borough by Queen Victoria in 1888. If you want to be part of the celebrations, be there by 3PM! Feast your eyes on the procession being taken out by the National Carnival Commission Regional Carnival Committee dressed as traditional Carnival characters. Feast your ears to the accompanying Tobago music. Feast your taste buds on the yummy food being served by the vendors – corn soup, roast corn, roti, soft drinks, candy tuft, to name a few.  Don’t take your eyes off the stick fighting, the jab jab duels, or the historical re-enactment by the Carib community. And as night descends, be one with the thousands of Tobago music lovers whose every nerve is reverberating to the music of the steel band music at the pan competition that commences at 7pm. When dawn approaches and the celebrations are done, don’t think it is the end of the Trinidad and Tobago carnival fun. Carry the great experience in your heart as a memory to cherish for ever and ever.

Leatherback Turtle in Trinidad and Tobago

Are you a lover of beaches, of deep sea diving, of snorkeling but have done it all and now need something else? If you are a nature seeker planning a Trinidad and Tobago vacation, slate it for the Easter time and head to the Trinidad beach of Matura.  You will see here a unique, once-in-a-lifetime sight – the nesting of the protected leatherback turtles.  This Trinidad and Tobago vacation, would you just be a by stander or become a volunteer and patrol the beach, weigh and tag the turtles, and ensure no harm comes to the turtles and eggs?  Here, you will sight only the female of the species on the sands because the males do not leave the waters. The females head to this soft sand of the Trinidad beach as it is conducive to the extremely fragile eggs. There will be great activity at the beach for many a days as the process of the laying of the eggs takes about nine days.  So, spend this vacation near the sea but not deep sea diving; spend it with the leatherback turtles who have returned to their birth place for nesting!
